Printivity customer

Founded by wedding industry veteran, and Printivity customer,  Shannon Tarrant, Wedding Venue Map was created to simplify the venue search process for engaged couples throughout Central Florida. Since launching in 2018, Wedding Venue Map has grown into one of the largest resources for wedding venue discovery. The platform serves as a comprehensive resource that helps couples discover, compare, and connect with wedding venues and vendors based on the specific features and experiences they are looking for.

For Shannon, the goal has always been about more than simply listing venues. As someone who has spent years working within the wedding industry, she understands the challenges couples face when trying to make informed decisions about one of the most important days of their lives. By creating a centralized resource that brings venues, vendors, and educational content together, Wedding Venue Map helps couples feel more confident throughout their planning journey.

A Couple looking through printed

While Wedding Venue Map operates primarily in a digital space, print marketing continues to play an important role in building connections within the local wedding community. Printed materials help support networking events, wedding shows, promotional opportunities, and educational resources that bring wedding professionals and engaged couples together. In an industry built on personal relationships and memorable experiences, print provides a tangible way to reinforce a brand and create lasting impressions.

Today, Wedding Venue Map continues to help thousands of couples navigate one of the biggest decisions of their wedding planning journey. By combining industry expertise, local knowledge, and a passion for helping others, Shannon and her team have built a resource that makes venue shopping simpler, more efficient, and far less stressful.

We invited our customers to share their stories, telling us about their businesses, unique journeys, and the pivotal role print marketing plays in their success. By understanding their goals and strategies, we gain valuable insight into how printed materials support their outreach, brand growth, and customer connections.

Tell us about your company!

Can you tell us about your business and what you do?

Wedding Venue Map is a Central Florida wedding venue and vendor directory that helps engaged couples find the right venue, connect with trusted wedding professionals, and confidently plan their wedding day.

Founded in 2017, we have grown into one of the largest local wedding communities in Central Florida, serving thousands of couples each year through our website, print publications, educational resources, social media channels, and in-person events.

What makes Wedding Venue Map unique is our hyper-local focus. Rather than trying to serve couples nationwide, we concentrate exclusively on the Central Florida market. This allows us to provide more meaningful recommendations, stronger industry connections, and resources that are specifically tailored to the venues and wedding professionals in our region.

In addition to helping couples discover venues and vendors, we also support wedding businesses through marketing opportunities, networking events, educational programs, and community-building initiatives. Our goal is simple: connect the right couples with the right wedding professionals while helping local businesses grow through authentic relationships and strategic visibility.

What sets your brand apart from others in your industry?

What sets Wedding Venue Map apart is our commitment to being truly local.

While many wedding directories focus on national reach and automated listings, we focus exclusively on Central Florida. Every venue, vendor, event, resource, and recommendation is tailored specifically to couples planning weddings in our local market.

We also take a community-first approach. Wedding Venue Map is more than a directory. We actively foster relationships between venues, vendors, and couples through educational events, networking opportunities, local industry resources, and ongoing support for our members.

Another key differentiator is our multi-channel marketing approach. We combine the power of digital tools, including our website, email marketing, SEO, and social media, with tangible print products that couples can hold in their hands. Our printed venue guides and maps continue to be a valuable resource for engaged couples, creating a unique bridge between online discovery and real-world wedding planning.

Most importantly, we prioritize quality connections over volume. Our goal is not simply to generate clicks, but to help couples find the right fit for their wedding and help local wedding businesses build meaningful, lasting relationships that contribute to long-term growth.

What role does print play in your business?

Print has played a major role in Wedding Venue Map since the very beginning.

While digital marketing is an essential part of how couples discover venues today, we’ve always believed there is value in creating tangible resources that couples can take with them throughout the planning process. Our printed trusted venue guides and maps are distributed throughout Central Florida at bridal salons, wedding shows, planners’ offices, and other wedding-related businesses, putting local venue information directly into the hands of engaged couples.

Print creates a different kind of experience than digital. Couples often save, bookmark, and revisit our printed guides as they move through their wedding planning journey. It gives them a convenient way to compare venues, explore options, and discover businesses they may not have found online.

From a business perspective, print also extends the reach of our members beyond a screen. By combining print with our website, email marketing, social media, and events, we’re able to create multiple touchpoints that keep local venues and wedding professionals visible throughout the planning process.

For us, print is not a replacement for digital marketing. It’s a complementary tool that helps create a more complete and memorable experience for both couples and the businesses we serve.

Have you seen any specific results from your printed materials?

Absolutely. One of the biggest results we’ve seen is the longevity of our printed materials.

In an industry where so much marketing is digital and often disappears with a swipe or click, our printed venue guides tend to stay with couples throughout their planning journey. We regularly hear from engaged couples who have kept their guide for months, brought it to venue tours, used it to narrow down their options, and even passed it along to newly engaged friends after their own wedding planning was complete.

We also see print and digital working hand in hand. At wedding shows and events, our team often provides personalized venue recommendations through one-on-one concierge conversations. Being able to physically highlight venues and hand couples a resource to take home helps keep those recommendations top of mind long after the event is over.

Beyond direct engagement, our print materials consistently drive couples back to our website, social media channels, and other digital resources. Couples often discover a venue or vendor in print and then visit our website to view photos, save favorites, read reviews, and continue their research online. In that way, print serves as an important entry point that fuels deeper digital engagement.

Perhaps most importantly, print helps establish credibility. When couples see a thoughtfully designed, professionally produced resource in their hands, it reinforces trust in our brand and the businesses we feature. That trust often translates into stronger engagement with our content and greater visibility for our members across all of our platforms.
