Order Spiral Bound Book Printing and Binding

Whether you’re creating a workbook, handbook, planner, or manual, spiral binding allows readers to effortlessly adjust the booklet’s page orientation, so they can read and write at their most comfortable. The black plastic spine stands up to heavy use for a booklet that’s always ready to go to work, whether its kept on a desk for fast reference or on a shelf for access when needed.

Need a booklet that’s practical or one that’s flashy? Printivity’s wide array of paper, finishing and size options allows you to create the exact booklet you need. Spiral binding is popular for workbooks because its lay flat construction makes the pages easier to write on, especially when you select uncoated paper stock. If you’re after something that will demand attention, consider some of our specialized finishing options like soft-touch lamination which gives any booklet a truly unique look and feel.

Bind up to 400 pages. Spiral binding can accommodate longer page counts, giving you the ability to keep larger documents and workbooks completely organized and usable.

Do you need just a few or a few thousand? Not only can our three production facilities print as many — or as few — booklets as you need, we can turn your order around quickly for overnight delivery.

Need help with design? You have other things to do than master Photoshop or learn the quirks of print design. At Printivity, we put our expertise to work for you, helping you with cover designs and page layouts, as well as optimizing your files for print.

There’s no fine print. At Printivity, we guarantee your project will arrive both to your exact specifications, and on the date promised. If for any reason you are unsatisfied, we will reprint your project for free or refund your money, guaranteed.

What spiral bound book sizes do you offer?

We offer multiple sizes of spiral bound books, and we offer customized sizes for your unique print project.

Select “Input a custom dimension” option to add your specific size.

How does the spiral binding process work?

Spiral binding uses a plastic coil shaped like a long spring to hold the cover and pages together. The coil is carefully threaded through a row of evenly-spaced holes that are punched into the spinal edge of the cover and pages.

When the coil is fully inserted, both ends are crimped to prevent it from unraveling. This results in a sturdy bind that makes it easy to turn the pages. A spiral bound booklet can also be laid flat and folded back against itself.

Spiral binding is ideal for wall calendars and other booklets that hang flat against a wall.

It can also accommodate index tabs to create sections that allow readers to find specific information without having to hunt for it.
What material are your coils made from?

All of our coils are made from plastic. If you’re looking for more durability, we offer metal wire binding here: Wire-O Books.

Do you offer custom colored coils?

The color of the standard coils we offer are black. Custom colored coils are not available on our website. Please contact customer service if you have a special color request.

    Do you have templates?

We offer spiral bound book templates that gives you a step-by-step guide to designing your books. These templates show you how to setup your files (color modes and settings), margins, and standard sizes.

The templates for spiral bound books are located on this page, under the “Templates” category.

Is spiral binding still cost-effective if I have a small number of booklets to print?

Yes. Spiral binding is an economical choice for short production runs since the binding doesn’t require the application of glue. This reduces the time and the cost of the binding process. It also allows for quick turnaround times.
