Perfect Bound Books
Three things you should know about saddle-stitched binding:
The name refers to the binding process rather than the type of stitching used. The folded pages of the
booklet are draped over an apparatus that looks like a saddle – hence the name “saddle-stitching.” Any
bookbinding process that uses wire staples is usually referred to as saddle-stitching.
Saddle-stitch binding uses two staples to hold the book together, whereas perfect bound books are glue bound.
Saddle stitch books are stapled in the middle of the book and folded in half. Because of this process, we have to print the books on a longer sheet, so that when they’re folded in half, the folded dimensions will match the final dimension.
For example, if you ordered an 8.5 x 11” book, we would have to print your books on an 11 x 17” sheet and fold it in half to make your 8.5 x 11” book.
Since saddle stitch books are folded and stapled with a longer sheet, we can only increase or decrease the page count in multiples of four. If you have and odd-numbered book, we can add blank pages to accommodate your design.
Saddle stitching works best for booklets with 64 pages or less. You can have more pages, but the booklet may not lie as flat as you would like. Also, higher page count booklets may require more than two staples, the number used in most saddle-stitched booklets.
Every order comes backed with our customer satisfaction guarantee. If you are not happy with our quality, we do our best to make it right.
That’s another advantage of saddle-stitching – it works well with many different paper types and finishes. This allows you to give your booklet a polished, professional look even with saddle-stitch’s low binding costs.
No. the spines on a saddle-stitched book are not flat, which removes the option of including any printing on the spine.
Saddle-stitching can be used with almost all size book, from mini-books to oversized and everything in-between. It can also accommodate any layout orientation such as traditional portrait, landscape, or square.
Your exact delivery dates may vary depending on quantity and page count, but in general, you can get your books in your hands within 2 business days.

Reach your audience
Finding new ways to break through to your target audience is essential for any business.
But with online marketing becoming crowded, savvy companies must be willing to look to more traditional advertising and engagement methods that can still be incredibly effective today.
One such approach is to use print magazine marketing to promote your business. This can help you reach a broader set of customers at a relatively affordable cost.
But how can you get started with magazine printing?
Let’s go over the most important aspects you must consider below.
Unlimited sales possibilities
When considering cheap magazine printing services, you need to figure out the exact purpose of your campaign.
But how can you use a print magazine to grow your business?
Well, the versatility and appeal of the magazine format provide countless opportunities to position your brand and promote products.
By combining engaging storytelling, beautiful images, and persuasive messages with a selection of your products and well-placed ads, you can create a custom magazine that’s fully branded for your company while remaining genuinely entertaining and interesting for your audience.
You can also use the magazine format to produce beautiful and engaging reports about your business, which will have a much higher chance of getting read and having an impact.
Finally, you can use print magazines to showcase your product selection and get an instant uptick in sales.
The benefits of a print magazine
With so many online marketing avenues that are available today, you might be wondering – why should pursue the services of magazine printers for your business?
Magazine printing services are on the rise, and for a good reason.
In a time when online marketing is becoming increasingly saturated, and the cost of running campaigns keep rising, using low-cost magazine printing services such as the ones offered by Printivity makes more sense than ever before.
For a reasonably small budget, you can produce and distribute hundreds or even thousands of custom magazine issues that educate your audience, promote your brand, showcase your products, and attract customers that you couldn’t reach any other way.
What’s more, having your own magazine instantly differentiates you from your competitors, as there is a perception of quality and professionalism that comes with print media that you simply can’t achieve online.
Because of this perceived quality, people are much more likely to engage and read your messages than they would if you publish the same information online.
Design tips for your magazine
Print magazines are an incredibly powerful medium that can help your company achieve tremendous results. But for the campaign to be effective, you must follow the best practices of the industry when designing the magazines and putting them together.
First off, since the magazine is such a visually-driven form of print media, you should carefully consider what type of cover would have the biggest impact.
Your magazine will be competing with other publications, so you must find a way for your cover design to stand out. Even with short-run magazine printing, the cover might be the biggest differentiating factor between success and failure.
If the magazine is going to be longer, make it easy to navigate using a contents page, which can also help you direct the reader’s attention to the sections that are the most relevant to him or her.
Finally, even though you’re trying to get the most out of the space that you have, avoid overcrowding the magazine and leave white space to make the design more fluid and the reading experience more enjoyable.
